THEREFORE
PARTICIPATORY ART INSTALLATION

THEREFORE engages the audience to solve some logical problems in order to achieve a certain installation. Here, I want to reproduce a participatory activity where the final artwork results from a collective decision process following logical rules.

Such an installation is a composition of an amount of 'iron stones' magnetically attached to the wall or to iron elements. When involved people solve logical problems, they can obtain the coordinates to attach one 'iron stone' on steel plates or walls. Only if a player correctly solves the problem the 'iron stone' will stand on the media. It means that the installation will take a "correct" form only if the audience solves all the logical problems. Here, the choice about where to attach the stone is driven by logical reasoning.
