THE ANALYTIC ANTIPASTI
TEXT-BASED INTERACTIVE INSTALLATION

The Analytic Antipasti is an interactive installation pushing the audience to think about a well-known ethical choice.

I wrote a text revisiting the famous "parable of the flute" by Amartya Sen - an intellectual experiment asking us to think about how to allocate scarce goods. In my text, the scarce good is a pasta dish. The text ends with a question. I ask the reader to choose if she would give the dish to a needy person, to the person who worked to buy pasta, or to the person who enjoys pasta the more. I created a fast-food packaging including the text and all the necessary to think about it. By taking the packaging, the audience is involved in such an etical decision.
